Graduation for Class of 2021
Hello,
I hope you have been able to enjoy this cold and damp Memorial Day Weekend. I can hardly believe that we are entering June and our final twelve days of the school year. It has been a long year with many transitions our students and faculty have endured. A summer break will be most welcome by all. However, we are not quite there and need to stay focused and attentive to end the year as strong or stronger than we began.
Students in grades 9 - 11 are encouraged to directly communicate and engage with their teachers for any required support or assistance. Students are also encouraged to make effective use of the Flex block time to address any academic needs.
For the students and households of the Class of 2021 this will be your final weekly Principal’s Message. We thank you for all you have accomplished and contributed to Stoneham High School. We are so proud of you. You have excelled in the classroom, stage and fields and courts of competition. Thank you for a tremendous four years! Thank you parents and guardians for what you have done in supporting your student and SHS.

Stoneham High School Senior Events INFO HERE Events dates · All events are at the SHS Football Field unless otherwise noted. · All events are Rain or Shine with exception to Graduation June 1: Academic Awards; 7:00pm June 2: Promenade and Senior Celebration; 5:00pm - 10:00pm · Promenade o Start in SHS Gym / Line up begins at 4:00 June 3: Senior Parade 6:00pm - 7 /7:30pm · Start at SCMS o Line up begins at 5:30 June 4: Graduation; 6:00pm - 7:30pm · Rain Date: June 5 / Time TBD Student Obligations · All school obligations need to be resolved before being permitted to participate in any Senior Activity, including receiving Cap and Gown and Graduation Commencement on June 4. · Students with any outstanding obligations should contact Ms. Auger Cap and Gown · Any student who has not yet picked up their Cap and Gown please come to Main Office for pick up Cap Decorations Graduation caps may be decorated. Decorations, themes, messaging, etc must be school appropriate. Decorations can not exceed to obstruct view from others sitting around you. Senior Celebration · No entry without ticket · Contact Ms. Nims for any ticket needs Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal; All Seniors · Friday, June 4 o 10:00am - 12:00pm · Gymnasium o Enter through Gym Entrance Graduation · COVID Safety Guidelines o Face masks will not be required o Social distancing of 3 feet is recommended for all guests. · Seating o Student Seating § Students will be seated together as the Class of 2021. · Student seating will maintain a social distancing of 3 feet. o Guest Seating § Guest seating will be in the Athletic Field Stands § Guests will be asked to be mindful of social distancing of 3 feet with non family groups o Seating area will be provided for those guests wishing to maintain safety guidelines of wearing a mask and social distancing seating of 3 feet. · Please email Ms. Nims at bnims@stonehamschools.org if you would like to reserve a seat in this section. o Seating area available for guests with any accessibility needs. o Please email Ms. Nims at bnims@stonehamschools.org if you would like to reserve seating in this section.
