February 5, 2023
Good evening,
I hope this message finds you a bit warmer from the arctic temperatures we experienced this past Friday and Saturday.
The next two weeks will see the course selection process continue with the teacher recommendation period. This process is meant to inform and assist students with their course selection for the 2023-2024 school year. Course selection will occur the week of 2/27.
As students select courses to meet graduation requirements they should also keep the following in mind:
· Students should seek courses and learning opportunities that feed their passions, interests and curiosity.
· Students should choose learning experiences which push and challenge their abilities with increased rigor and advanced study.
· Students should consider a schedule of balance with required courses, elective courses and levels of instruction.
Students should avail themselves of their teachers, school counselors and parents / guardians to assist in the selection of courses to best meet post high school interests and plans.
Have a good week. Go Spartan’s!
Best,
Bryan Lombardi

Student Parking / Winter driving / Student Drop Off & Pick Up
The past couple of weeks have reminded us that we are still in Winter and that it will be around for a bit longer. With that in mind, here are reminders for a safe and efficient traffic experience while driving at SHS: · Driving o Drivers please be extra cautious and aware and follow the posted and established parking and driving routes. Winter weather impacts road conditions and visibility and adhering to established routes and expectations will only help in maintaining an efficient and safe traffic process. · Student Drop Off & Pick Up o Please remember that student drop off and pick up is required in the designated Drop Off / Pick Up Area in the lower parking lot. The Drop Off / Pick Up Area consists of white lined marked space before and after the staircase. Please help with traffic flow by having your student exit or enter the car at any time your vehicle is stopped between the lines of the designated Drop Off / Pick Up Area. § Student drop off / pick up in the upper parking lot, closest to the school, is not a designated Drop Off / Pick Up Area and is only for those individuals who have a physical necessity. · Student Parking o Unfortunately we have reached our student parking capacity, there are no more available student parking spaces. At this time Student Parking is closed for any new drivers. o Non-registered drivers are not permitted to park on school grounds and any violators are subject to towing at the cost of the vehicle owner. |
