June 4, 2023
Good evening,
This past Friday we concluded a full week of Senior events with Graduation Commencement for the Class of 2023 and officially graduated our seniors. We will certainly miss them. We thank them for their efforts, contributions and accomplishments these past four years and wish them happiness and success in their future endeavors.
Friday night not only signified that our Seniors are now officially graduated from SHS and are now considered alumni, it also signifies that our current grades move up for next year. We look forward to what our students will bring forward next year as Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores, but there is still work to be done to officially merit this grade advancement.
Students have worked hard all year and have certainly earned a Summer vacation, however there is still a bit more to do that requires their time, focus and attention. We enter our final full week of the school year with three days of academic classes followed by two days of final exams. This also includes two days for Grade 10 students who will be taking their Biology MCAS. Use of time is important. Students should use the remaining three days of academic classes and FLEX block opportunities to complete end of quarter classwork and to prepare for final exams.
Have a great week. We are almost there! Go Spartans!
Best,
Bryan Lombardi

Chromebooks Grades 9 - 11 / Summer
This year the SPS Technology Department has determined that students in grades 9, 10 and 11 will NOT be required to turn in their Chromebook on the last day of school and will be permitted to take the Chromebook home for the Summer. Students are responsible for the safety, security and care of their Chromebook and charger. Students should not wait until the start of the 2023-2024 school year to report any needed services. If a student has a need for any repair work at any time between now and the start of the 2023-2024 school year they should email helpdesk@stonehamschools.org. Students will receive a response of when to bring in the Chromebook for the needed service. |

New SHS Construction Project ● A week in pictures |
Drivers / Parking Lot: Follow Traffic Patterns / 15 MPH or less driving speed
This is a reminder of the expectation for all drivers to follow the designated traffic routes and patterns, regardless of the time of day or how full or empty the parking lot. Drivers are not to cut through the parking lot crossing over parking spaces. Drivers must follow the designated traffic routes. Cutting through the parking lot only causes confusion to other drivers and pedestrians and creates an unsafe environment. Drivers are also reminded that driving speeds on SHS grounds is 15 MPH or less. Let’s all work together to create an efficient and safe driving and parking lot for our school community |
Building Security / School Doors / Entrance and Exit
A reminder that all school external doors are locked and secure for the duration of the school day, 8:15am - 2:50pm. Exit and entrance during the school day is only through the Main Lobby Entrance. All school visitors must enter and exit through the Main Entrance Doors. Students found entering or exiting any exterior school door other than the Main Entrance during school day hours will receive disciplinary action. A secure physical space is an essential component for school safety and security. We all play a role in school safety and compliance of this policy is essential. We thank you for your support. |
